Arcadia Knights edge Kings Monarchs in tight battle

The Arcadia Knights edged the Kings Monarchs 72-70 in a close battle on Monday night at the Koerner Fieldhouse in Arcadia, Pennsylvania.The Knights led by as many as 10 points in the second half, but the Monarchs rallied to tie the game at 67 with 2:15 remaining.Arcadia then went on a 5-0 run to take a 72-67 lead with 30 seconds left. The Monarchs had a chance to tie the game, but their shot fell short as time expired.”It was a great win for us,” said Knights head coach Mike Smith. “We played well for most of the game, but we had to make some big plays down the stretch to come away with the victory.”Knights guard Brandon Jones led all scorers with 22 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter. Forward Michael Brown added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Knights.Monarchs guard Brandon Williams led his team with 20 points. Forward James Johnson added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Monarchs.The Knights improved to 3-5 with the win.
